Simply Catholic and Welcoming You
Contact St.Brigit's if you need community catholic clergy or interfaith chaplaincy services. If you are or know of a senior or shut-in needing a visit, the Eucharist perhaps even a private mass, we'll be glad to meet such needs.
Your needs may be personal, seeking communion, confessions or spiritual guidance, even trying to arrange your own wedding. Perhaps you're a professional needing clergy or interfaith ministries at your place of work. Be that a nursing home, correctional centre or other care facility.
You may be a wedding planner or a funeral director in need of clergy willing to conduct services as catholic priests or deliver a non-denominational, yet still religious service.
Possibly you or your group have been hurt, marginalised, even ostracised by your church of origin. We are also an inclusive and diverse church and clergy.
At St.Brigit's all are welcome and differences honoured.
We will be renting space for regular public mass and will post the times and locations on this site when we have them. In the meantime we will continue to say mass and hold various other forms of worship at our home as we have done thus far.
As soon as we secure our own place of worship we will post the times for other public forms of worship such as rosaries, Liturgy of the Hours, seasonal vigils, etc.
Indeed, if you are part of a group or community from Clarenville or throughout the Burin peninsula and have a place for worship (church, hall, school, home, store or whatever) and need clergy please call us. We are looking to at least weekly celebrate traditional Roman/Old Catholic Mass/Eucharist to a gathering within that driving area. We are just as happy to celebrate the Eucharist in the Anglican Rite.
We do NOT have a collection. However, if we operate from a rental space we will place a jar or box at the back for change to help pay the rental. We strive to not be a burden to our congregations and do NOT charge a fee to say Mass. As priests that is our calling and our privilege.
